U.P. releases new sugarcane varieties eyeing increasing production
Uttar Pradesh released four early-maturing sugarcane varieties intended to improve cane yield and sugar recovery. The variety CoS.23232 recorded an average plant-crop yield of 95.56 tonnes per hectare, 9.44% above the standard Co.0238, and was reported resistant to red rot with good ratoon performance.
